We want people to enjoy their work and combine friendliness, supportiveness and humour with a sense of ownership resulting in great levels of achievement at work. All new food and drink products are given to our staff for testing. We are grateful for their product knowledge and valued opinion. We recruit locally whenever possible.

and so aim to minimise any effect our operations may have on the environment and to promote good environmental practice.
Packaging
Our objective is to reduce waste wherever possible. Consumer packaging is a significant part of the municipal solid waste which we want to reduce. Boxed deliveries enable us to minimise the use of inner packaging and plastics. In the shop are smaller brown paper bags for loose items such as fruit, vegetables or bread. All plastic carrier bags are fully biodegradable. We recycle 100% of our old wood, cardboard packaging, printer cartridges and paper, etc.
